Scofield Reservoir is a Utah state park with two boat ramps. It offers very good trout fishing.
Trout fishing is also good in three major streams in the area: Fish Creek above and below Scofield, Price River and Diamond Fork River.
Skyline Drive runs south from the Soldier Summit area. It follows the tops of the mountains from Hwy 6 down to I-70, snaking for over 100 miles. It provides access to numerous small lakes and streams, developed and primitive camping areas and big game hunting units. Many trails in this area are open to snowmobile and ATV use. The famous Arapeen OHV Trail System is found here.
Stay at the cabin and relax, enjoying the views and mountain air. Build a fire and cook up some Dutch oven meals. Make the cabin a gathering place for the kids and grandkids.
